Florese Brown Finds New Life with Aladdin Classic

"We have a social responsibility to one another, and if there is something we can do or information we can share to help each other, we have an obligation..."

Florese Brown knows the value of giving people the service, information and attention that they want. At 86 years old, retiring from her 35+ year business in preparing income taxes has not stopped Florese from working. "I have macular degeneration, but my brain and my body haven't given out," she notes wryly. "I use my Aladdin Classic to correspond with old clients -- I couldn't get by without it!" "I do everything with my Classic -- pay bills, read everything magnified up to a four-inch font. I'm so happy with this thing, I'm telling you."

Florese enjoyed her work so much that she admits to doing taxes for people at a deep discount. "I did stuff that I should have made a lot of money on, and never charged people for it. That's why I had the clientele I had," she notes. "My clientele was like one, big family -- I helped them, and in turn, they did thoughtful things for me." Florese attributes her expansive teddy bear collection to some of her most loyal clients.

Knowing the value of good customer service, Florese sings the praises of Telesensory video magnifiers far and wide. "It's all about relationship-building," she says. One day while she was trying to call Telesensory, Florese accidentally dialed the wrong number, and ended up talking to a woman on the East Coast. "She asked who I was looking for, so I told her about the manufacturer of my video magnifier," explains Florese. "She ended up buying a unit for her mother!"

Florese considers her new-found ability to read a real reward, and she loves to share the wealth. "I tell everyone about the Aladdin Classic -- I bring my friends over, show them the unit, and tell 'em where they can get it." She says that she does this because it makes her feel good to help. "We have a responsibility to one another, and if there is something we can do or information we can share to help each other, we have an obligation to do it."

One day, a friend of hers called, explaining that her grandmother used to cry every Christmas, because she could not read her holiday cards. "I told her about Telesensory's reading machines, and she bought one to give her grandmother as a Christmas gift!"

"In my personal opinion, getting my video magnifier was like a gift from Heaven," says Florese. "It gives me a life that I would not have had without it. Now I can do what I want, and no one can take advantage of me, because I can read everything!" When one of Florese's old investments learned that she could no longer see well enough to read the fine print, they took advantage. "One day, while reading with my new machine, I caught them on it. Being an income tax preparer, you have to read and be on top of everything."

Florese heard about these machines through her niece in Florida. Her niece knew how active she was -- for instance, when she would go to the store and was unable to see the things she wanted to buy. "My niece reads a lot of eye research and sent me a copy of a recent publication," recounts Florese. "I wrote to Telesensory requesting a demonstration. I didn't even need the 30 day trial period -- I was sold! The machine never left my house."

When asked if she had any other comments on her new-found ability to read and write, Florese had this to say: "you become a whole person again, and that's the part I enjoy. Your eyes may not work the way they used to, but your mind isn't gone, yet! I'm truly very happy and speak highly of my reading machine. I would recommend it to anyone!"
