Speakers Bureau

The following is a partial list of topics which can be presented. We can format your program for any length and style which suits your special needs.

  • Adaptive Technology
The latest in equipment and visual systems to fit the needs of students, professionals, elderly, or service workers. We can include our mobile showroom van to demonstrate many of the products available.
  • Dealing With Grief Through The Loss of Normal Vision
When someone's lifestyle is affected by the onset of low vision, they go through the same stages of grief as if someone died. Participants learn how to regain a renewed sense of dignity, identity, and purpose.
  • How To Live With Someone Who Has Low Vision
A great opportunity for friends, teachers, employers, employees, or loved ones of a person who is visually impaired, to learn how to be helpful and empathetic. People with low vision are not blind or helpless, but they do need some assistance and understanding from the fully sighted world.
  • Macular Degeneration (wet and dry), Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinitis Pigmentosa
What the terms mean, who is likely to suffer from these vision challenges, and how to help prevent them.

If you would like to have us speak to your group, simply give us a call. We provide this service as part of our commitment to the community, at no charge. We do, however, need at least 6 weeks advance notice, to ensure we can commit to the date you have chosen. Shorter arrangements are possible, but not guaranteed. Let us know the size of your group, what amenities are available at your facility, etc. We will need one hour before the event to get set up.
