Seeing is believing
Parish nurse Jan
Crews of Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 w. 95th St., recently
purchased a Telesensory machine with a grant the church received from
Methodist Health Ministries. The machine amplifies
images four-and-a-half to 60 times their normal size. It is located just
outside the sanctuary of the church and is available to the general public.
It may be used for viewing photographs, reading, signing documents and
various other tasks. The church will hold an informational meeting about
the uses of the Telesensory machine for those with low-vision problems
beginning with a dinner at 5:15 p.m. followed by a presentation on Wednesday,
Oct. 1. For more information, call the church at 642-4400.
